Fore Inventors Only interviewed and auditioned more than 1,000 golf inventors worldwide. The Digital Shield was granted a spot in the top 10 percent and a chance to compete in the inaugural TV series in July 2007. Although it did not win the grand prize, Fore Inventors Only asserted that the Digital Shield was “innovative” and “a little short of genius.”
